Silky chickens are a very old breed that came from China. They have blue wattles and comb and blue colored feathered legs. The feathers are almost like fur. They are bantam size and very sweet and friendly chickens. I love the expression on this roosters face and worked hard to get it correct.

Silky rooster
I was given permission to use a gorgeous photo from Robert Stephenson in England. I was very taken by the antique "old masters" look of the photo and wanted to give it a try to see if I could accomplish that look. I am pleased with how it turned out.

Arabian
I received a commission for two paintings that are awards for a show. This is the first completed one. I am now working on the second one. These are 16 X 20 which for me is large for a horse portrait. The bridle on this one really had me going because the photo wasn't clear on which strap went where. Had to do some research on it to hopefully get it correct.

Chihuahua Puppy
My absolute favorite breed of dog is the chihuahua. I have owned chis for about 40 years and they are just the most wonderful of dogs. This painting was done for my animal art group and is for sale. This pup is about three weeks old.
Gaucho, resin horse
This resin is called Gaucho and is a Galliceno pony. I airbrushed him this great buckskin color and added minimal pinto markings as the ancestry of the Spanish horse did include spotted horses as is shown in old masters paintings. This guy will be for sale on resinsbyrandy.com
